Josh Duboff is a New York-based writer.

Josh is currently a senior writer for Vanity Fair. He wrote the September 2015 cover story for the magazine on Taylor Swift, a feature about social-media managers in the October 2016 issue, and a feature on Gossip Girl, on its tenth anniversary, for the October 2017 issue. Josh writes a monthly interview — “According To” — spotlighting an actor or actress, in the front of the book, and is also the co-host of Vanity Fair’s pop culture podcast, “In The Limelight.”

Josh wrote the cover story on Gigi Hadid for the June/July 2017 issue of Harper’s Bazaar. He has previously written for New York Magazine (Daily Intel/Vulture) and Yahoo! Entertainment. His work has also been featured on The Awl, Thought Catalog, and The Hairpin.

Josh is the creator, writer and director of Twenty Five, a web series which premiered in December 2013 and which was nominated for 4 Indie Series Awards, including Best Web Series—Comedy. His first play, Scarlett Fever — about a young woman who finds herself dating Scarlett Johansson’s twin brother — debuted in the 2012 New York International Fringe Festival.

Before pursuing his writing career, Josh worked in New York as a branding consultant. He graduated from Yale University, where he was News Editor of the Yale Daily News.
